Question: should you run from an attacker? If you can then YES!!!
Many crimes are committed by our threats (attackers) following the method set out below;
“Come with me / us, do as your told and you won’t get hurt!!”
Who in the cold light of day believes that if you went with them you wouldn’t get hurt? It is almost guaranteed that if an attacker says “come with me” then worse things are going to happen to you. Ask yourself WHY does this person want me to go with them to a secondary crime scene.
They are obviously not comfortable committing the crime right there and now so why make it easier for them.
“You won’t get hurt” yeah right!! Of course it’s going to hurt if we follow them to somewhere secluded and they have more control of the environment,
Quite simply at the earliest opportunity get away from this person / persons who are attempting to take you somewhere where they will have hours of uninterrupted time with you.
Get away, create space, run away whatever it takes and if you have to use force to enable your escape then get on with it with 100% conviction until you have escaped or the threat level has diminished.
Once people become compliant ( Yeah ok I will come with you ) it is game over however in real life you don’t get second chances.
Stay Safe Neil.
